(More customer reviews)I discovered the hard way that I needed to clean the carpet fibers out of my Hoover Steam Cleaner brush block. (After using my steam cleaner a few times, carpet fibers from my rug built up around the brushes, jammed them, and led to the plastic drive shaft on this brush block to break off. If you're looking at the picture of the product, that's the little green "finger" sticking up in on the lower portion of the picture.) The entire part is made of plastic, and while it feels a little flimsy, I don't think it would have broken if I had properly cleaned the brushes after each use.
After researching the part, I bought a replacement brush block on Amazon. Be sure to check on the Hoover web site to make sure you're ordering the right brush block for your steam cleaner ... there are at least two different blocks, and they aren't compatible. But once I received my replacement, it installed easily and works fine.
My only nit is that this simple brush block costs about ten percent of what it would cost to buy a new steam cleaner, which seems a bit pricey.
Bottom line ... keep your brush block clean. But if you're reading this review, I assume you've already learned that lesson the same way I did!

It will neutralize the animal odors in those corners your male cat focuses on. It also removes the major stains you have on carpet. Just spray it on, rub it in gently (for those bad stains) and then it's clean. Or you may have to do it twice if needed. It's just amazing that it cleans up dark stains on light carpet like I have. One thing I have to say is WASH YOUR HANDS afterwards or the enzymes start going after your fingers from rubbing it in the carpet. Although my daughter said she doesn't have that problem. But really, it's great stuff and I think it's what you've been looking for.

(More customer reviews)I have this in the smaller size. Its not a perfect solution, and I actually prefer Vinegar and Baking soda. I wasn't initially following the instructions exactly, but we all live and learn. I now have my stain treatment in order.
Note: it is very important to pre test on fabric. I was tired and forgot, needed immediate cleaning of sofa. Usually, repeated treatment with Vinegar and Baking Soda would have worked, but used same treatment as carpet. Part of sofa now different color. However, it is old sofa, and is covered with nice kitty throw.
One of my cats occasionally pukes. Its usually a long lasting stain. I used this immediately, as directed - and the puke is gone. Scoop up excess and any debris on floor (paper towels and extra store plastic bag come in handy). Spray and leave on 3 to 5 minutes. Have bucket of warm water ready. Use dust rag/old dish towel to rinse off spray (important - because I wasn't doing this part, carpet had residue and kitty skin was reacting). Switch from dust rag to sponge, try to sop up moisture while rinsing. Follow up with 100% White Vinegar Spray, continue with sponge to wipe deep into carpet (this removes germs, mildew - and provides other cleaning for carpet besides stain removal). Cover with towel until dry. Next day, use towel for wipe up with Hydrogen Peroxide if desired - added benefit.
It gets 4 stars, because cat smell in carpet requires a bit more (and it doesn't clean down deep, sorta masks odors). I've ordered the Bissell QuickSteamer Multi-Surface Upright Deep Cleaner, 2090 to supplement, and use this as a pretreatment as I go throughout the apartment.
All in all, 4 stars for what it does do (at least, some sanitation has been realized).

(More customer reviews)I have tried so many eco-green cleaners and really have only liked Mrs. Meyers, Ecover and (gasp) Clorox Green products. This product claims to clean anything from false teeth to diesel engines and it's probably true! As for its scent and harshness, the scent is a very light, quickly dissipating fragrance which reminds me of Fantastic. As for harshness, I did not wear gloves but probably should have ONLY because some of the greasy stuff went under a couple of fingernails. After normal washing and rinsing of my hands, I did not notice any dryness or irritation. I haven't tried this product on windows, so I can't comment on that, but this spray is EXCELLENT for cleaning an outdoor grill, indoor oven and baked on foodstuff inside my stainless convection microwave oven. On my misnomer self-cleaning oven, I sprayed, waited, wiped and sprayed again until it was like brand new w/ minimal use of elbow grease. AMAZING. I will be giving Simple Green and several other heavy duty cleaners away to neighbors as this IS definitely the ONLY general spray cleaner I will need to use. I also have ordered one gallon of their liquid laundry soap. It is so refreshing to find a product that is environmentally safe, made in USA (NC), and actually cleans as claimed. I hope they expand their product line in the future.

(More customer reviews)I have been using this steamer for over a month now and am still impressed. The volume and heat of the steam is outstanding. The continuous refill ability allows this unit to be used for several hours without being shut down for refills. I have cleaned stoves, tile, glass, floors, bathroom fixtures and even utensil and this steamer cuts through the grunge without the use of chemicals with the exception of bathrooms. A bit of lime away is still helpful to get any deposits loosened before steam cleaning.
I am also very satisfied with the build and operation of the unit. The attachments are all well made and fit solidly with no leakage of steam around the joints. The attachments are well insulated and even after long periods of use remain cool enough to handle without the use of gloves. All the parts lock together with a very solid snap and do not come apart in normal use.
All in all I can highly recommend this steamer. A solids all around package.

(More customer reviews)We have very sensitive noses when it comes to cat urine and tried MANY other products that didn't remove all the smell. Anti Icky Poo did. It has a clean, shower-fresh scent, not a perfumey type one that tries to mask odors.
We had to call the product's customer support for extra assistance, because one spot was extra stubborn. They were *very* informative and helpful. The advice they gave was to deep-treat it by first applying the solution as directed then putting a wet towel and a plastic bucket over the area to keep it working and not dry out for about a week. We did that and the smell was ABSOLUTELY gone after trying for six months previously. I am now a lifelong fan & if the problem ever occurs again, I now know exactly what to do.

We have a couple of dogs and cats, and as great as they are they aren't accident free...whether it knocking something over or getting sick, my carpet has definitely seen better days!
I'm in the process of using right now and I can already see a big difference!! I'm using a cleaning brush instead of a mop just so I can make sure I get the stains out and I really don't have to scrub that much! This stuff is great! It doesn't leave that soaked carpet that doesn't completely dry. I can tell that my husband is even impressed even though he won't come out and say it : )
I am very happy and would definitely recommend it!

Where this product excels is stain removal. Use it full strength on carpet or upholstery stains. It's taken out some mighty tough stains for me including greasy motor oil that I spilled in the car...oops! After a quick clean-up, you would never even know. I will keep this product on hand at all times (I'm very accident-prone).

(More customer reviews)This device works fine for crumbs and little dry messes on carpet if you don't want to haul out the vacuum cleaner. However I was hoping it would also pick up stuff on hard floors, but it doesn't do very well there. It'll pick up if you move it pretty fast back and forth over the area, but to do the entire floor would cause you to work up quite a lather.
I was really looking for something a little more environmentally friendly than the portable, cordless vacuums which you have to throw away after a year because the battery's shot. But this wasn't it, not for me anyway.

(More customer reviews)There are lots of stain removers, but this one is definitely at the top of my list. I have used it to remove ink, coffee, pizza, lipstick, crayon, tar, baby formula and red drink stains from carpets and upholstery. It removes the stains pretty quickly and without a lot of work or wait time. Baby formulas are the worst because of the sickening smell and Gonzo took care of that too.
I really like that it is odorless and non-sudsy. After the stain is gone I do not want to smell the cleaner, especially in my car. A little bit goes a long way but I always keep a bottle in the house and in the car. It has really worked for me and I have recommended it to my friends who are happy with their results too.

I was scared at first because I throught it was going to changed my carpet color, high quality of the carpet thickness of it I did not think it would clean it... But it did and I was very pleased...I brought a Kirby vaccum with a carpet cleaner which it does't clean like the woolite heavy traffic carpet cleaner does..

We have been coughing continually and have had burning eyes and thoat. It is so irritating that I cannot be in the carpeted rooms but a minute before having to leave. We have repeatedly tried to vacuum the scent out to get rid of it without success. Our next step is to try to shampoo it out of the carpet. This is the worst product that I have ever used. It has been days since I have been able to sit in one of our carpeted rooms. If you are even mildly irritated by strong smells, stay clear of this product- it's awful.
