Eureka 4870HZ Boss SmartVac Upright Vacuum, Blue Review

Consumer Reports rated an earlier version (4870) as a "best buy." By the time their articles went to print, two models 4870HG and 4870HZ, were released and neither has had a price increase. I bought the recent HZ from Amazon.com and it was delivered UPS in two days in a tall box which told me it was already assembled. Assembly for attachements and a reading the instructions was a 3 minute process. It is much quieter than my prior 1999 Hoover Bag Model and Bissell 2003 Bagless, both of which still ran but did not pick up much. It picks up so much and so fast, you won't have to waste $150 to have your carpets cleaned (assuming no embedded stains like grape juice). You will love it. There is not enough space on here to say all the great things about it. The price ended up including a second replacement bag and a replacement drive belt. Too many great features to mention here.

I thought my old bagless vacuum was doing a great job until I had to buy a new one (thanks to my son breaking the old). OMG! I can't believe the stuff my old vacuum was missing! I only swept a small room 10x12 and the bag was half full! As I swept you would see tons of dirt bubble up next to where I was sweeping! I am so blown away by what I have been missing. I'm glad I bought this vacuum. I works wonderfully and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

I've been using the SmartVac for over a month now. It is a great vacuum for the price. Some of the positives about it are: terrific vacuuming suction, clean air smell while vacumming, easy attachment system, and soft wheels for hardwood floors. I noticed that after I vacuumed my 15 year old carpets that I had to use force to close the doors since the nap had been raised so high. The rugs look noticeably cleaner and have a raised, fresh look. Negatives to the vacuum are the heavy weight, and the cheap plastic pedal that lowers the handle takes getting used to.
To address some of the comments made by others. The attachments all fit very snugly in their holders. You need to use enough force to "snap" them into place. I, too, thought the upholstery tool was loose until I realized that you need to use quite a bit of force to snap it into place. Once snapped, it won't go anywhere until you snap it out. For vacumming hardwood floors, you need to make sure that the vacuum is lowered to its lowest position and that the brushes are turned off. I also bought a small turbo head, a deluxe floor brush and a 10 foot extra hose. They work great together for cleaning under beds and for the car and furniture.
In summary, I think this is a great vacuum. For an extra $30 or so you can get some attachments that really make it work wonders. I now can leave it at the bottom of the stairs, while using the 20 feet of hose to clean all of the stairs and the wall, if I'm inclined! The suction is still very strong even with the extra hose. Hope this is helpful.

Sure I expected a new vacuum to clean my carpet better, but what I didn't expect was for my rug to look five years younger afterwards! My matted carpet was in pretty bad shape and I had little hope of it lasting much longer until I couldn't stand looking at it anymore. But after a good cleaning with this Sanitaire S782 I was very happy to see that my rug seemed to have new life in it and frankly looked like the rug was 5 years younger. I am simply amazed.
Dual motors allow for stopping the direct drive brush assembly going over hardwood floors while still providing lots of suction power which is also good for vacuuming the edges of scatter rugs so they don't get sucked up into the roller. And if something does get caught in the roller the motor shuts off instantly and automatically and you just have to hit the reset button after clearing.
This machine uses bags that are inexpensive and is rated at lightweight commercial use. It's fairly light at 14 pounds, and I like the folding handle making it easy to store away. The only con seems to be the high pitched motor noise which is annoying but I am already getting used to it.
After feeling like I was in a maze of new vacuum options I feel I made a really good choice without spending a fortune.

Hoover UH70010 Platinum Collection Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Hoover UH70010 Platinum Collection Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Pardon the vacuum pun, but really, this vacuum sucks... in the best way possible!
I ordered this vacuum on the recommendation of a friend who raved about the "sucking power" of this vacuum. I was in the market for a vacuum but never planned to spend quite so much, but her raving testimonial was quite compelling. I am thrilled that I took her advice because this vacuum is amazing!
I bought this vacuum to replace the two other dinosaur vacuums in my house. One was an old upright that used those old fashioned bags. Hair always tangled up in the belt. It was awful. The other was a bagless upright. Both did an OK job of picking up small surface debris, but I could pass that vacuum over and over and over again and still miss stubborn clingy lint or the small scoopable kitty litter granules. I had all but given up on ever having clean carpet again near the litterbox.
One of the first areas I used the Hoover UH70010 Platinum Collection Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum was on that stubborn litterbox area, and without sounding mellow-dramatic, it was absolutely amazing to see how well it picked up those small granules! One pass got 95% of them, and by the second or third pass, my carpet looked brand new again. I would go over that area 10 times with my old vacs and maybe pick up 25% of the litter, so the performance of this vacuum FAR surpassed my expectations!
In addition to the cat and her aforementioned litterbox, I have two shedding dogs in my house, and when I emptied the container, I had what seemed like an entire extra animal's worth of hair collected. Gross, I know, but it seems there is no challenge too big for this vacuum.
I will note that there are two very similar models to this vacuum: the UH70010 and the UH70015. They are the exact same vacuum in terms of power and appearance, but the UH70015 has an "clean/dirty" indicator light that uses some kind of sensor technology to tell you if your carpet is actually clean. My friend purchased that model and told me she drives herself crazy going over and over and over an area to get the "clean" light to appear. This UH70010 model does not have that indicator light. At Amazon.com, it appears the prices of these two models is about equal at around $399, but I found a steal on the UH70010 for $320 at another online retail site. To me, that light was not worth the extra $80, but if it is important to you, be careful about which model you order.
Regardless of which model you choose, I am certain you will be pleased with this vacuum's performance. It really is an outstanding vacuum.
If cost is a concern, I urge you to consider the value of the lifetime filters and the manufacturer's 6 year warranty. If you have to replace your lesser costing vaccums more frequently, you really might as well spring for a better performing and longer lasting vacuum. Your carpets will look better, and you may even save money in the long run.

Miele : S163 Universal Mini Upright Vacuum - Black Review

Miele : S163 Universal Mini Upright Vacuum - Black
Average Reviews:

a powerful vacuum (1000w) that's fairly quiet and does a fine job on both hardwood floors and rugs. it's great around the apartment with its 26 ft long cord.
the miele s143 is solidly constructed without being overly weighty and is nicely balanced. the head pivots slightly side to side and is actually helpful vacuuming around things like a furniture leg. the head loses full contact somewhat when you bring the vacuum down to the level of the floor in the rug mode -- trying (ummph) to get deep under the sofa or bed but otherwise but generally does a fine job.
the heart of the s143 can be used with a smaller head/crevice attachment and without the long handle, much like a really powerful hand vac. a very useful feature for cleaning furniture.
there is an option to upgrade to a hepa filter (although the included carbon filter bag is good enough for me) and i believe an option to upgrade to a motorized head but i suspect if that's a serious consideration, the s147 is probably the way to go.
off tangent: i'm not sure why the description lists Ivory as the color but the s143, as far as i know, only comes in the mint green shown in the picture.
all in all, a finely built product that's nicely met the needs of this apartment dweller... though a tad on the pricey side.

Miele S7580BOLERO Bolero Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Miele S7580BOLERO Bolero Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Never thought I would be thrilled to get a vacuum cleaner. This one has everything you could want -- it cleans GREAT, it is amazingly quiet, the HEPA filtering is top notch, the controls and the tools are convenient, the power cord reaches forever, the materials used in this machine are built to last, and on top of all of that, it looks gorgeous (I know, I know, it's a vacuum!).
My one and only reservation was that it was on the heavy side. This reservation was quickly allayed when I actually used this Miele upright at home (the dealer kindly lend it to me to try at home.) The maneuverability is phenomenal. No more plowing forward and backward to move a couple inches to the left or right. Just twist your wrist and the vacuum swivels and turns on a dime. It's *amazing* how much effort this saves!
I compared this vacuum to the Sebo Automatic X4 and the Sebo Felix. The X4 is the noisiest of the bunch, and it doesn't swivel (which both the Felix and the Miele do), although it is a solidly great machine. The Felix is the lightest, and it swivels, but is the only one that doesn't have automatic height adjustment, a feature that lets you vacuum right over throw rugs without the vacuum eating the rug.
Price-wise, the Felix was about $100 less than the X4 which is about $120 less than the Miele Bolero.
I ended up selecting the Miele because overall it had every useful feature and was the most convenient to use.
I like the size of the Sebo Felix, but it was a little too fussy (too many parts that come on and off) and the hose didn't have an extension, so I couldn't reach the cobwebs up high.
Any one of these three would be great to own. The Miele is just a little ahead in terms of features and convenience. Oh, and about the high price: I am replacing three (crappy, smelly, loud) old vacuums (Hoover, Kenmore, Eureka), and if you add up how much they all cost, I would have been better off getting the "expensive" Miele to start with. I expect it will last a very very long time.

Eureka 4870PZ Boss SmartVac Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

Eureka 4870PZ Boss SmartVac Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The Eureka 4870 is consistently rated very highly by Consumer Reports. I am still scratching my head trying to understand why. There are certain vacuum cleaners that are brought in for repair that I can guess what the problem is before the customer tells me. This is one of those machines.
This vacuum cleaner is our number 1 repair customer. The Eureka 4870 is brought in for repair MORE THEN ANY OTHER VACUUM CLEANER. The only reason I have given this vacuum 2 stars, is because when this vacuum is working, it actually does clean very well, however the number of times you will have to bring the vacuum in for service, outweighs how well it cleans. Let me first tell you about the Pros to the Eureka 4870, as this can be summed up with a few sentences.
Pros:
The Eureka 4870 motor actually is a very high output motor, and creates a decent amount of suction power. The motor is the only metal component to the vacuum, and is the only part on this vacuum that I have never seen problems with, or had to replace.
The vacuum has a nice selection of on-board attachments. Included is a nice on board hose, an extra wand for above the floor cleaning, a nice long crevice tool for those hard to reach nooks and crannies, a dusting brush, as well as an upholstery tool. The "power paw" (as standard attachment on the 4870HZ) attachment leaves a lot to be desired, as most of the time the rotating brush driven by suction stops as soon as you put it on upholstery, or stairs.
The electrical cord on this vacuum is a nice long 30 foot cord, allowing you to be able to clean more square footage without having to go and unplug the machine from room to room. This feature will actually save you substantial time on vacuuming.
The vacuum bag is a "top fill" bag. This means that the hole where the dirt goes into fills from the very top of the bag, allowing you to really jam pack the dirt in the bag, and filling the entire bag before there's any suction loss. A lot of other vacuums have the hold on the side of the bag, which is really pointless, as you have to throw away the bag before it's completely full.
The price is probably the best feature on this vacuum. For right around $150, the machine is very affordable, and feature packed for this price. You do get what you pay for in terms of quality.
Cons:
Weighing in at 25 pounds, this machine is VERY heavy. If you have multiple floors, and you have to take the vacuum up and down the stairs, you will surely hate this vacuum after the first few times of carrying it up and down stairs. The carrying handle is not very conveniently placed either, causing the customer to have to pick up the machine by the handle which makes it seem even more heavy.
The Eureka R belt "Extended Life Belt". The belt on this machine was a new design by Eureka. The belt is actually not made of rubber like most belts. It is actually a plastic belt. Eureka claims that this belt is "Extended life" however some of my customers are replacing this belt 3-4 times a year. If you vacuum anything that gets stuck in the roller brush while vacuuming, the belt usually stretches to a point where the brush will not spin, or if it does spin, it will spin very slowly, and sometimes even stop as soon as you put it on the carpet.
The roller brush itself. A typical Eureka roller brush, this roller brush (sometimes referred to as a "beater bar") has two PLASTIC bearing caps on each side. If something is vacuumed up into the brush while it's spinning, a lot of the times, the brush bearing caps will actually melt! Eureka does not sell these caps separately either, and you'll have to purchase the entire roller brush assembly if this happens. Do not expect to get any more the 1 year out of the roller brush before some melting happens. The plastic bearing caps are not sealed either. If you have pets in the house, or females (some males are also included) that have very long hair, this hair will get inside the bearing of the roller brush shortening the life even more. One way to prevent this from happening is take the roller brush out, taking the bearing caps off, and remove the hair, thread, etc that has wrapped itself around the bearings. You should do this every 2 weeks for best results.
The dreaded Carpet/Floor switch. Out of all the problems this machine has, this is by far the most common. Not only is the most common, it can also be the most expensive, as the amount of time and labor that it takes to replace the switch is very difficult, and you will have to take it in to a local repair shop to fix it. If you talk to any independent vacuum store, and ask them about this repair, 9 times out of 10 you they will tell you how difficult of a repair it really is. This is my least favorite repair to do out of ANY VACUUM CLEANER. You basically have to take the entire roller brush housing apart, and fight with a spring to fix it. The design on this switch is the problem. If a customer does decide to purchase this vacuum from me (I certainly don't recommend it) I always open the machine, assemble it, and I always test the machine before the customer leaves my store. I have opened probably 10-15 of these machines brand new out of the box, only to test it, and find that the Carpet/Floor switch is broken. Brand new out of the box there should never be any problems.
The last issue on this vacuum is the filtration. Eureka claims that this machine is "True HEPA filtration" vacuum. I have found this to be more like a "False HEPA filtration" vacuum. One of the many cool gadgets we have to diagnose and test vacuum cleaners is what's called a Particle Scanner. This very expensive machine will actually measure with lasers how many fine dust particles are leaking from a vacuum per minute of use. I measured the Eureka 4870 like I do all vacuums I sell. This machine registered 25,000+ fine dust particles per minute of use being leaked out of this machine. Now this number is definitely lower then any bagless machine on the market, however for Eureka to claim that this machine will help allergy and asthma sufferers is just false. If you own this vacuum try vacuuming in the sunlight, and you can actually see some of the larger micron dust exhausting from the machine. This is only the larger particles you can see. The most damaging particles to humans are the ones that are not visible to the naked eye. If you or your family has any breathing issues such as Asthma, Emphysema, or allergies, please beware of this vacuum.
You can kind of tell the quality of a vacuum cleaner by the warranty the manufacturer will give you. The Eureka 4870 has a 1 year parts and labor (required by the government, I'm sure they would give less if they could). Consumer Reports loves this vacuum, but as a vacuum repairman, I would tell anyone that asked me to STAY AWAY FROM THIS VACUUM CLEANER.

Lindhaus Activa 30 Domestic 12 Red Upright Vacuum Cleaner

(More customer reviews)
I have owned this vacuum for a couple of years now. Although it's expensive and not "fancy", we purchased it because our previous machines were never satisfactory. They either blew dirt back out the exhaust, were super noisy and/or heavy, and the cake was taken when a relatively new but just-out-of warranty machine needed repair and could not be fixed. The Lindhaus is very lightweight and easy to manuver, very quiet so others are not disturbed and children and pets are not afraid of the noise. It does not have a "headlight", but does have an indicator light that goes on when the bag is full and needs to be changed. It's easy to change the bag. The machine is repairable and though I have never needed this service, there are several vacuum stores in my area that can handle this brand. The only downside, I would say, is the bags seem a little more expensive, but I should add that I have not priced the bags of other brands lately. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a reliable machine and isn't overly impressed with bells, whistles and doo-dads.

Average Reviews:

I bought the Eureka because I wanted an 'upstairs' vac. You know, the machine that we just keep for the bedrooms. Well, I now use this machine all over the house. Here's what I really like about this vacuum:
fairly quiet operation
variable speed motor
excellent filtration
power nozzle seems self propelled
very large bare floor brush attachment
Now, things I don't like about it:
small bag capacity
flimsy, tiny little dusting brush - worthless (and it keeps falling off the holder)
made in China
The bags, while very small, are easy to change. And they are fairly inexpensive, so I can't kick about that too much. The power nozzle goes under very low things (like beds and coffee tables) and cleans very well. The carpet almost looks new again. The suction is very good, not outstanding, but certainly enough to clean well.
I wish the speed control for the motor was in the hose handle, and not on the cleaner, as I don't remember to bend down to turn the knob when cleaning throw rugs (which is what a speed control is made for), and wind up dragging the throw rugs across the kitchen floor.
All in all, it's a decent cleaner at a decent price, and I feel it will do the job I require of it for many years. For the average person's needs, and in a home less than 2000 square feet, with wall to wall rugs and bare floor surfaces, it's a fine vacuum. I did go to a vacuum cleaner service shop and bought a REAL dusting brush (round, with horse hair bristles) that works like a dream compared to the one included. Cost: $4.

Electrolux Home Care 1934A The Boss Upright Vacuum Review

Electrolux Home Care 1934A The Boss Upright Vacuum
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I just moved into an apartment with a new synthetic carpet that sheds like a pack of afghan hounds; it choked my bagless vacuum in under a minute. I needed a sturdy, no-frills, bagged vacuum like the Montgomery Ward upright I used for over 20 years before it died.
This model was almost identical, and now that I've had it for a few weeks, I'm happy as a clam. It has an old-fashioned rotating brush/beater roller, 5 carpet height adjustments, great suction for 5 amps, and comes pre-fitted with a humongous disposable liner bag (type F&G), plus a spare belt for the roller. Some parts that used to be steel have been replaced with thick plastic, but it seems plenty sturdy, and it's much lighter to maneuver and carry than my old all-steel model. The on/off button and lock/unlock for the handle are both on the base, so they're foot controls; carpet height is adjusted by a dial on the front of the base. The long cord (20 feet or so) doesn't retract, you just wind it over hooks on the handle. The spring-attached fabric bag has a full-length zipper, inside which the disposable bag (which fills the cover from end to end) slides on with another spring. Quick, simple.
One pass with this puppy picked up enough carpet fluff missed by the bagless to knit a throw rug, but there's still plenty of room left for future dirt. It's also a lot less noisy than my smaller bagless. The only qualm I had in buying this was the lack of attachments for cleaning upholstery & suchlike, but I found an inexpensive accessory kit made for it (crevice tool, round dust brush, upholstery brush, extension tubes, looooong flexible hose) right here on Amazon: the "Electrolux Home Care 60E 6-Piece Deluxe Tool Set," so my joy is complete.
Though the image on this page looks rather green, the vacuum is actually jet black, and the bag is a black-white-red random print. It comes in a flat box, minor assembly required. Highly recommended for those who remember how good the old vacuums were, don't want to spend a fortune just to clean their carpets, or are into retro styling.

Have used mine for years.. Would not consider any other brand. Suction is great, easy to use, self propelled, and an attachment for anything. It's not made from crappy plastic like all others. Buy this brand and you won't need to buy another for many, many years to come.......unless you use it like a shop vac.

This is an inexpensive vacuum cleaner without hose or tools. It vacuums well with good suction and is lightweight. The only drawback is that it is very loud.

Eureka 4870SZ Boss SmartVac Pet Lover Bagged Upright Vacuum Cleaner Review

I've had this vacuum for several months now, and I'm quite puzzled by the negative reviews it's gotten. It DOES sound like maybe there were some lemons out there, but once these folks figured out how to work it, or got it replaced it was ok.
We have 2 very long-haired dogs--there is always a TON of dog hair on the carpet. Plus we're all "indoor outdoor" so there's plenty of dirt getting tracked on our carpets too. I vacuum about once a week. I turn this vac on and it does an awesome job--it's got so much suction that I have to turn down the volume when I go over my throw rugs or it lifts them off the ground. It has incredible suction through the wand too--I have nabbed flying insects from several inches away this last week--hah!
I can't stand the enormous mess of bagless vacs (a ridiculous trend in vacs if you need heavy duty cleaning), and this vac has disposable HEPA bags--which was tops on my list. The bags that are meant to be purchased with it contain the unpleasant dog smell which eventually accumulates--and they work great!!! I've never had a vac that did that.
It's got a very simple on/off switch, not a foot pedal, which I'm happy about. It has multiple on-board attachments. It has a nice large valve (?) that you turn to go from floor to hose suction--always a problem previously for me. And it has the ability to turn off the rotating brush when you're working on bare floors--although I don't have a problem w/ keeping it on when I'm going over the tile in kitchen.
It has an enormous long cord which lets me cover a HUGE amount of living room/dining room without switching outlets.
My ONLY complaint is that the latch that lets you release it from it's upright position is slightly difficult for me to get it to work in my houseshoes/boots. But I figure that's me and my selection of footwear--I eventually give it enough pressure and it releases.
I honestly can't say enough good things about this vac--it has enormous power, no smell, long cord, can do carpet or hard floors well, etc. It's not ultra-light or quiet--but I've had dogs long enough to know that I can't get the cleaning I want w/ some wimpy vac. But it's not so heavy I have a problem with it--maybe my mother would, she's 75. It rolls really well though, so you can just roll it backwards on 2 wheels very very easily. And the husband says it's a lot quieter than the last one, a Dirt Devil which didn't so squat. so go figure.
It DOES the job it says it will do--I couldn't be more pleased w/ something I absolutely depend on.

Designed with pet lovers in mind, this upright vacuum cleaner features a powerful 12 amp motor for maintaining a well-groomed home, from top to bottom. The unit's motorized brushroll can be turned on for carpets and rugs or off to safely and effectively clean bare-floor surfaces. For above-floor cleaning, use the crevice tool to access tight spots like between couch cushions; the dusting brush for bookshelves, vents, and lamp shades; and the upholstery nozzle for cleaning curtains, living-room chairs, couches, and more. It also comes equipped with a Pet Power Paw turbo nozzle, which effectively removes dust, dirt, and pet hair from carpet, stairs, and upholstery--plastic teeth loosen it, a rubber strip grabs it, and bristles pull it up and away. The vacuum cleaner's sealed HEPA filtration system captures 99.97-percent of dust, allergens, and pet dander, then seals them inside the vacuum to help ensure a clean living environment. Even more, it offers a high-filtration odor-eliminating Arm & Hammer bag that captures allergy-causing pet dander and removes odors caused by pets, mold, bacteria, and fungi. Other highlights include a comfortable oval-shaped handle, adjustable height settings, a suction-control switch, a 15-inch cleaning path, and a long 30-foot power cord. The vacuum cleaner measures 12 by 15 by 44 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.

Eureka ReadyForce Bagged Canister Vacuum, 900A Review

Eureka ReadyForce Bagged Canister Vacuum, 900A

I have been looking at canister vacs for a long time. I bought one, hated it (the floor attachment kept falling off, the filter kept clogging), and ended up returning it. I am pleasantly surprised by this little machine...the suction is great, it's not too loud, doesn't clog, and it's lightweight. Plus the price is right!! I was looking into getting a miele until I found this. I use this at my vacation home (a 60 year old ranch home that produces a LOT of dust) where all the floors are hardwood or tile and I have an area rug. The vac works fairly well on the area rug, too. The handle feels much more solid than the previous machine I had and doesn't fall apart. And I actually prefer the bag to the bagless version I previously had. It is so much easier to change the bag than pull out a canister and have dust flying everywhere. I highly recommend this for someone who has a lot of hardwood floors and wants to get up ALL the dust on the floors, in the corners, under the sofas!!!

Eureka Red Whirlwind + Upright Review

My wife and I purchased this Vacuum 2 days ago. My wife suffers from severe allergies and demanded that if we could not afford wood floors than we must buy a Vacuum with a Hepa filter. She wakes up every morning sneezing and seems to be allergic to everything. We desired to buy a DYSON but decided to try this since it was affordable. She vacuumed the living room floor with our old Vacuum prior to using the new one. The vacuum sucked up so much stuff with in 5 minutes we were both in shock. We could not believe that our old Vacuum was practically worthless. It really did a good job of getting the carpet clean the first night. The accessories are good but the stair and upolstery brush only worked well for the first night. As we did get a lot of dust and soot up out of our floors there were still some complications.
The belt broke with in the first 2 hours. They did include a second belt in the box so we had to put that one on.
The outside of the Vacuum was covered in dust with in 30 minutes and needed to be cleaned. I had to empty out the dust cup since my wife is so allergic to dust. I emptied it out 5 times the first night. Its easy to clean out but the dust cup filter gets so dirty that it has to be cleaned often in order to be effective.
Today we decided to do a demonstration for my mother in law to brag on our new vacuum. We decided to move our bed and Vacuum in this spot to show her how much dirt and dust it could suck up. Well, when my wife turned it on she noticed it was not working like it was the first night we bought it. We had to take it apart follow instructions for fixing the problem. Finally we Vacummed. It still was not working right. It still is not working like it did the first night.
It is cheaply made and will most definately not last very long. The wheel is already falling off. The parts are all plastic and it is already banged up.
We will be exchanging it for another Vacuum. It was very time consuming but it really did get the job done. My wife did not sneeze at all yesterday. In our office we have a window where the sun shines in so that when you walk in there, you can see all of the dust particles in the air. It was really bad prior to this Vacuum. There were only a few specks yesterday when I was working. It was much improved.
I'm not sure what I would advise anyone else about this product. I know that my wife is not satisfied with the cheaply made product but was satisfied with the improvement in the quality of the air and less dust particles floating around. If it would work like it did the first hour all the time, we would be fine with it. Also, anyone with allergies who does purchase this, you should in no way empty the dust cup. Have someone else do it.
