(More customer reviews)I recently acquired a 6 month old barn kitty who has a bit of a scratching problem. I tried the trio surface pads from Hertz, but she didn't seem to be very interested. I picked this up to see if she would be more interested. At $10 I thought it'd be a cheap investment. The minute I opened it up, she was on top of it going crazy. Once I added the catnip she wouldn't get off it. I'm afraid she's going to start sleeping on it instead of curled up next to me!
I got the larger size and it seems to work well. It's a nice size, you can easily put it into a corner and forget about it. The catnip falls into the honeycombed cardboard so it will keep attracting you cat back. I'm thinking about picking up a few more to either spread out through my apartment or tape together to make a much larger surface for her to play. Well worth the money.

(More customer reviews)My cats like it, but like some reviews say, it's a tad bit wobbly. I added some extra screws to keep the half-circle platform pieces in place, and I screwed the sides of the circles to the posts they rest against as well. I could probably add a few more in the base or something. Overall, not wobbly enough that my cats avoid it, but enough that I would only put it against the wall, not out in an open area.
That bit aside, it's one of the better quality-looking pieces I've ever owned. The carpet/fabric is thick and fuzzy, and I don't see my cats getting through it any time soon. It's not enough that they get their claws stuck in it, but it's nice and fluffy for them.
The toys are somewhat silly and useless. My cats hardly play with them, but they will occasionally spring them around to smack each other in the face with them. That's about all they're good for!

(More customer reviews)Both my cats can be playing on this and it doesn't even wobble. The sisal scratching post is just the right height for a cat to really stretch out while scratching. One of my cats likes to climb the sisal post like she's climbing a tree. My only complaint is not for Molly & Friends, it's for Amazon. The box didn't have a bit of shipping tape on it and it busted out of the box during the handling by UPS. The UPS man had me examine the contents before he left so I could have easily refused shipment if it was damaged. (Luckily it was NOT damaged since it's so well made). Molly & Friends is a great company that builds quality cat furniture.

ETA: I've now owned this almost 3 years and it's still in great condition. The scratching posts have been used a lot and I still haven't had to replace the carpet or the sisal rope on them (although I do trim off the rope threads once in awhile).

(More customer reviews)i really like this product as do my cats. they use as a bed and scratch pad. what i like best is that it doesn't create the same mess as a typical cardboard scratcher. the material is much stronger and it doens't fall apart as easily. the only downsides- which aren't a big enough deal to not purchase it are- 1) i wish the scratch portion came in a refill so you could remove it from the bed "frame" and replace it. but i guess i will just buy an entire new one when needed. 2)- b/c if the ripple texture, there are not many places for catnip to get in there without making a mess, bc it doesn't fall in to any cracks.

My last post bit the dust after a few years when the base came off; this one looks like it'll last much longer. The bit of carpet at the top makes it look neater.
My cats don't seem to mind leaning over to use it, but I would like to get them the tall one someday!

We bought this because we didn't want a giant carpet monstrostity in the middle of the living room (don't worry, we have one of those too but elsewhere) but this is one of about a handful of products that I will say is worth every penny. It's takes a second for our guest to realize, and usually only after a cat plunks down on top, that it's cat furniture. We bought this even before we were able to bring the kitties home. It's the first place they chose to sleep when they arrived and the two still try to squeeze on the top level together even though they're huge cats now. Very sturdy, easy to assemble and very attractive. They don't really use the bottom cave too much except to hide out in when they're attacking each other, but they love to sleep here and play from the different levels.

(More customer reviews)Have your cats clawed your furniture a little? Maybe a lot? We have 9 cats, and our furniture was being clawed to the point where we had to make repairs. If the clawing had continued it would mean replacing some furniture pieces. That gets expensive!! Well, I found these cat scratching posts and bought two of them. Wonder of wonders, our cats use these wonderful scratching posts exclusively. No more damage to our furniture. Our cats love the height of the posts as they can stand and reach to claw the posts like they used to like to do with our furniture. Average height scratching posts just did not satisfy our cats' urge to stretch tall and scratch or claw at the same time. With these posts, they can satisfy that urge to their hearts' content. These posts may seem more expensive than the average post, but believe me, the furniture you were thinking you would have to replace is going to be much more expensive. These posts are attractive with any decor, and stand the test of use over time. I would happily buy these scratching posts again. But they are durable, and I don't need to do that. They have paid for themselves many times over. I highly recommend them to anyone with cats who are tearing up the furniture. These posts stop that activity completely, in my experience. Give them a try, and you'll see!

(More customer reviews)This cat tree has a firm base but no amount of tightening stops the posts from wobbling. It is especially noticeable on the level with the cat house. My cat is pretty fearless (he likes to jump into his automated litter robot box when it turns and ride it around) so he doesn't mind. If there were a connection between the posts rather then them being free standing, the wobble might be reduced. The carpet is good quality. Unfortunatly the roof of the cat house that I received was separated at the seems with 2 nails sticking up. I had to do a little repair work on it. This is an average cat tree but my cat plays on it so its ok with him.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my two cats and it is starting to unravel but the best part that makes it all worth it is the feather attachment. My little chewer chewed the feather off and it is now my other cats favorite toy. It makes him act so crazy, unlike any other toy. He will play fetch with it, hide it from himself, place it in my shoes and then come back to pounce it, and put it in and out of boxes. It's too funny and well worth it. The scratching post is great and the feather is awesome!

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these from my local hardware store for my cats about 1 year ago. They LOVED it. They loved the swinging ball and the upward scratching motion. We had several flat cardboard scratchers but one of our cats still scratched the couches. Once we purchased this post, all furniture scratching stopped. My cats scratched this post until the rope was shredded, so I'm now looking for a new one to buy. Don't get me wrong, the quality is good, my cats just scratched it that much!!
We paid more than Amazon's price, but my cats definitely scratched my money's worth out of it!
