For those that negatively reviewed this product, that's sad. INSTANTLY I saw the fleas trying to get away and one by one, die within seconds! No, its intended use is not to last for a month like topical treatments (which don't work anyhow). This IS safe for pets!
Here's my advice.
1. Don't waste money experimenting.
2. Start with the house. You WILL have to use something to help the carpets/floors/furniture...THIS IS NOT THE PRODUCT FOR THAT! I suggest Fleabusters RX While it might be a little difficult to apply, its WORTH THE EFFORT!!! And the treatment is guaranteed for a year! You can find it on Amazon for $30. Until it arrives, just vacuum every day...its good exercise anyways.
Did you know that only 5% of the fleas in your home are on your pets? The other 95% are IN YOUR carpets and furniture and pet beds!
3. Vacuum, vacuum, vacuum. EVERY DAY!!! THROW THE BAGS IN AN OUTSIDE TRASH CAN AWAY FROM YOUR HOUSE! If you happen to have a bagless vacuum like myself, then clean it out after each use and if you're a freak like me wash it each time with soapy water.
4. Treat pets with this upon first treatment of the house with this stuff! I let this sit in their fur a day. My cat has white fur on her belly. When I sprayed this in that area, I saw all the bloody defication and fleas first hand. =/ Poor kitty. BUT THIS TREATMENT WILL KILL ALL OF THE FLEAS THAT ARE ON YOUR PET THE SECOND YOU SPRAY IT ON THEM.
5. The next day, bathe your pets with flea shampoo. I use the same brand as this spray! You can find that on here for $10. This isn't necessary unless you're a freak like me. You can just use soapy water if you want.
6. Repeat the spray/bath after every 2 weeks for about 4 months. I know it seems like a lot of work, but some of the eggs and stuff can take up to 4 months to hatch!
Then, if you walk a dog or let your pet outdoors, I would suggest dusting their butt with this before letting them in or getting those chewable pills that kill fleas when they bite your pet. Capatrol?? Its called something like that. Especially during flea season if you have one or after playing/encountering with flea infested pets.
I've found topicals and collars to be completely useless...
The only negative thing I can say about this product is that it kind of smells like pepper. Its a weird association to have!

This product will eliminate both live and unborn fleas in and around home including infestations located inside walls. Once sprayed around perimeter of each room or around outside of home this product kills live fleas and continues to interupt new flea generation from hatched egg/larvae. Will usually eliminate fleas on a permanant basis unless fleas are re-introduced by pets, etc. Fast knock-dosn and continuous protection will please those who have been bothered by flea bites as well as pets that are kept inside. Label says will remain effective for actual killing for up to 120 days but will more than likely eliminate your problem once and for all. If you bring pets in and out of your home you will probably want to purchase the direct pet spray as well to be thoroughly protected. In a rental at the beach I encountered a large flea infestation after moving in. It was just a matter of spaying one time to solve the problem. Highly reocmmended.

Boric Acid Insecticidal Dust Review

Boric Acid Insecticidal Dust

Sprinkle a little of this around your door, behind your stove and fridge, behind the couch, etc. As long as it's dry and doesn't get damp or vacuumed up, it keeps working. It's the absolute best for getting rid of the roaches. They hate the stuff, and it will kill an entire colony because they get it on them, then transfer it to the others.
My great grand parents, grandparents, parents, and I use boric acid. Anytime we start seeing roaches we dust a little around and they are gone! When I say we dust a little, I mean a little. Hold the bottle sideways, shake the powder up so it's at the nozzle but not clogging it up, and squeeze the bottle. If you got the powder in the right place, it will poof and billow out in a little cloud. That's all you need. A liter-size bottle of this stuff can last a lifetime! You'll never again call the exterminator because of roaches!

Safer Brand 7270 Clothes Moth Alert Trap Review

These moth traps really work. I had a serious infestation of clothes moths in my apartment when I took my grandmother wool coat out of my closet and released a bunch of moths accidentally. These few moths bred and then I had a moth problem. I didn't think I could get rid of them. You have to give the product some time to work. I set out 7 traps in my apartment. I saw moths being caught little by little over a period of a few weeks. I probably caught 60+ moths in these traps. I think I finally have my apartment back under control with the help of these traps and extensive vacuuming and cleaning.

Fleabusters Rx for Fleas Plus (3 lb) Review

Fleabusters Rx for Fleas Plus (3 lb)

I currently have 5 healthy indoor cats. They range from 6-years old to seven months. The two younger cats I had up for adoption for a few weeks along with their littermates at a local cat rescue shelter. During their stay at shelter they must have picked up some fleas. I used a flea comb on a kitten last week and noticed a bit of flea dirt. I treated all the cats with Advantage (Flea control) and washed and sterilized all their bedding along with practically everything else in the house that was washable. As a last step to preventing any major flea outbreak I ordered a 3-lb container of Fleabusters RX from Amazon.com. I followed the manufacturer's directions while applying it to my carpets. I thoroughly raked it deep into the carpet. Because of cold winter weather and dry inside air, my home is currently charged with static electricity. So much so that when I pet my cats their fur snaps and pops with static. Apparently because of the static, the Fleabusters powder was sticking to my cats after they crossed the freshly treated carpet. My shinny black cat was covered with a fine talcum coating of flea power especially near his legs and paws. While I was out for the evening, my statically charged cats must have continued to play with their toys and roll on the carpet picking up additional flea power in their fur. When I got home late that evening the first cat started throwing up. Then, all through the night I was constantly awakened by all five cats retching and vomiting. The frequent vomiting continued throughout the next day and was joined by extreme water like diarrhea. I contacted the Emergency Poison Control Center, paid their $30.00 fee and I was told my cats were experiencing all the symptoms of Orthoboric poisoning (Active ingredient in Fleabusters RX.) I contacted Fleabusters and explained to them how my cats were poisoned by their flea power. Fleabusters assured me that mine was a unique experience and promised they would research this incident. Because cats are fastidious cleaners and lick themselves constantly there is always a chance under the right conditions that Fleabusters RX, or any other flea power or even talcum powder, could harm your cat if it ingests enough of it. My cats are all young and healthy so they should fully recover with no long term side effects. Old, sick and very young cats might be more at risk. If you are concerned about your cat ingesting this power you may want to keep your cat confined to one room while you treat the rest of your carpet. Then, after a few days you can start vacuuming again and most of the lose power will be gone. Once the loose power has been vacuumed you could then allow your cat access to the treated carpet.
